Lists with This Book. This book is not yet featured on Listopia. Dec 31, Blue Bayou. I have seen this writers’ books before but I really thought it would be the same old, same old and nothing really interested me.

Well this one is NOT same old, same old. This is kinda weird. Not at all what I expected. It’s about Bailey Morgan but not. And it’s about the world they live in but it’s not. There are plot lines that were started that will be finished or have light shed on them in later books. Why 3 stars and not 4 or 5. Well one star because it seemed to really try get you involved in the MC’s but it doesn’t really commit to one set of MC’s. That was difficult since the book is primarily about McBride but is called Bailey Morgan.

There is a lot of reading words but having no understanding until you get to another paragraph or scene and hopefully if you remember what confused you, you can get the gist. If I thought of that much stuff in between the first push in and the first pull out, I would be totally flummoxed and would ask for a restart or do over.

That is if I could get back in the mood after what I was thinking about. I am all for back story, especially since we were given no idea of the world these people live in, but lets not mess with a sex scene to get me the info. Maybe before hand or afterwards? Oh and I am going to keep reading. There were stuff mentioned that I am going to need to know about or see some resolution. I am hoping the second book will be an easier read since I just went through boot camp, as it were. View all 3 comments.

Dec 11, V rated it really liked it. I must be honest, I didn’t want to read this series because in the past I haven’t been very satisfied with this author. I’m so glad I decided to read this series, it is my favorite so far from this author. Perhaps, the reason that I like it so much it’s because I read the 3 releases at once and it followed the story beautifully.

McBride is one of my favorites characters, and even when the story is about each of the brothers, it focus mostly on McBride, which I find him fascinating. This is my humb I must be honest, I didn’t want to read this series because in the past I haven’t been very satisfied with this author. This is my humble opinion, and for me this new series is terrific. Dec 06, Hc rated it really liked it Shelves: This could have CLEARLY used a prologue to introduce the world to readers instead of fumbling your way around figuring out how it works.

It also is not strictly about Bailey, who is the nicest and sweetest of the brothers being the baby. Despite struggling to understand how the world works for this series, I really liked this book. Dec 17, Booklover95 rated it it was amazing. Confused me at first but once I got into it loved it.

Bailey is sweet for someone his size and Ferris suits him well. I can’t wait for the next book and to see which brother will b the next to get a companion Also I can’t wait to find out how things progress with mcbride and Caleb. Anitra has outdone herself with this Terrific start to the series and while this is different from her other books it is definitely one of her best.

Jan 06, Velithil Sun rated it it was ok Shelves: I have to say that I greatly enjoy Anitra Lynn Mcleod’s books. Now that said I was greatly disappointed by this book. First off you are given no background in the story.

While that might have worked with Twin Pines Grizzlies because the characters don’t really know whats going on either, in this book it just doesn’t work I was confused on what was going on and how the world of it worked. It didn’t really explain anything about how the world worked. I mean I didn’t even know that there were no women anymore until I read the summary of the second book.

I mean really that should have been explained I shouldn’t have to rely on the summary of the second book to tell me about the world it takes place in. The second thing that really got to me was that the story summary set up the story to seem to be about Dillion McBride getting one of his men a mate. Its an interesting concept and I figured that it would be like an arranged turned into love of their life with little bits of McBride helping and background of McBride and Caleb.

But it wasn’t like that at all. It was insta-love between Bailey and Ferris, then they were dropped like it was nothing. I felt like I was tricked into a story that should have been about the main couple and really didn’t have anything to do with them.

The story spent so much of its focus on McBride and Caleb relationship that you didn’t actually get to know Bailey and Ferris. It was disappointing and while I greatly enjoy Anitra Lynn McLeod works and this just fell flat for me and I really wanted to enjoy it too, so it kinda breaks my heart that it didn’t seem to work and makes me really unsure if I want to read more of the series.

Jan 19, Kimberlee rated it really liked it. Bailey Morgan what an interesting read. Was not sure about it but found it to be a little fascinating.

First it is futuristic and second of all it is about a future earth where there are no women all killed of from a virus and men are turned into blood drinkers.

There are classes of people the Landed Gentry, the have slaves called slammers and then there are the thralls and the grinders. So here is Dillion McBride land owner and gentry, he has seven brothers who are his slammers and he is out to Bailey Morgan what an interesting read.

So I have to say after taking care of the youngest brother Bailey I have found this storyline a little interesting and will continue on with all the brothers each and everyone. Jan 25, Kelly H. Maybedog rated it really liked it Shelves: I’m not thrilled with the Alavert aspect but it’s realistic. Definitely a book written to be erotica. If they are canines, they stick down and are the teeth most used for pulling and shredding. If they had feeling, anitrq would be painful to eat.

Ridiculous that a thrall would question his owner’s ability to love him, even ask about it, at the mating ceremony one day after they met. This i Fascinating works building. This is kind of a serial in that the only resolved is the relationship and I’m curious to read more. Jan 01, Leah rated it liked it Shelves: Lynb gets these plot bunnies from I preordered the rest of the books in this series.

The concept of writing a series and basically releasing them together or in close succession was so exciting to baley But Im not sure this is living up to my expectations.

Seven Brothers for McBride Series by Anitra Lynn McLeod

I felt like I was thrown into a futuristic world that I knew nothing about and got little explination. Myfav part of any story. This author does futuristic amazingly which was evidenced by the Enslaved series.

Im hoping that the expertise Im accustomed to will show itself soon Im on book 3. Sep 15, Candice rated it it was ok Shelves: The only reason I am not rating this one star is because I finished it.
